Windows XP Update Available - Faster than Vista

Microsoft has release an updated service pack for Windows XP. Service Pack 3 (SP3) includes numerous bug fixes. Early indications also suggest it will provide performance enhancements designed to speed up your computer.

“Cue the OS flamewar theme song — there’s more potential fuel for the Vista hating fires in a recent set of speed tests. Although neither is available to the public yet, earlier reports suggest that upcoming service pack releases for XP and Vista have an unintended result — they make XP “considerably faster” than the much touted Vista.”

Windows automatic update will soon offer SP3 for download. This should happen sometime in June or July. If you can’t wait, you can download the update directly from their website.
